Renowned Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has disclosed her reasons for dissolving her 25-year marriage.
The actress claimed that she could no longer handle the hardships associated with a long-distance relationship.
Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, monitored by 1Family Radio, Bello noted that with her estranged husband, Mr. Akinrimisi, based in the United States, she couldn’t enjoy the companionship she sometimes yearns for, which propelled her to seek a divorce.
“I reached a point where I wanted more; I would always travel back and forth, but I realized that if I really wanted this, it came with sacrifices.’’
“I wasn’t sacrificing the marriage itself, but rather, his being there in the USA and the distance didn’t help,’’ she stated.
She, however, noted that her estranged husband has been a good father to their children despite their separation.
