The polling station executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Kumasi has warned some MPs of the party to stop forcing Bawumia on them.
According to the spokesperson of the group, Frederick Owusu disclosed that some Members of Parliament of the NPP are trying to coax the polling station delegates with money to support the candidacy of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Speaking at a press conference monitored by 1Family Radio on the 16th of March, 2023, Mr. Frederick unveiled that some MPs of the party are going round from funeral to funeral granting interviews in which they endorse the candidature of the Vice President.
These polling station executives furthered that Bawumia is being forced on them by some of the MPs. “We want to send a strong message to the Members of Parliament involved in this act to desist from it,’’ they noted.
They alleged that the office of the Vice President has promised huge amount of money to these MPs. “We are hereby emphasizing that the NPP is not for sale,’’ the spokesperson indicated.
“we the grassroots and executives will support the candidate who will be chosen by Ghanaians and we will stand united behind any candidate who has a message for the youth of this country.
