The New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for flagbearer, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has criticized certain allegedly unappreciative NPP party members.
The politician stated that while he had aided many party members, including government appointees, some of them were now working against him and his bid for the presidency.
Addressing some delegates of the party in the Berekum constituency, which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Kennedy Agyapong claimed that one specific businesswoman assisted several NPP MPs throughout their campaign, and she has also paid with ingratitude.
“Very ungrateful people, considering that the young guys a particular candidate deployed and the things they say about me are also people I have assisted. People in the world that I have helped I supported some of them during their campaigns to become ministers by giving them pickup trucks, and I even lobbied for positions for some of them. However, today they are telling me not to ever reveal how I supported them. But everyone will receive their rewards as long as God is alive,” he stated.
He recounted how a woman’s company failed under an NPP administration after she used her money to pay duty for 80 pickups for the party. He advised the delegates to vote wisely in light of this, warning them against becoming like this person he called Labianca.
“There is an ex-policeman in Berekum here, and Tema is where his wife has a cold store. For the clearance of 80 pickups, the woman paid duty. Do you know something, though? If you don’t vote well in the NPP, tomorrow can be your turn instead of hers.
After spending so much money supporting the NPP, the woman’s business failed under an NPP administration. One minister, who feels as though he has seen everything in life, needs to go apologize to the woman.
