Seasoned Nollywood actress Cynthia Okereke has sadly kicked the bucket a year after being in the grip of kidnappers.
This unfortunate news was disclosed by Joseph Okechukwu, a colleague actor, on his Facebook page, which was sighted by 1Family Radio.
He stated that Cynthia passed away in her sleep on the night of July 11, 2023, at the age of sixty-three years. “Rest in peace, Nwanyi Oma. I’m shattered beyond words,’’ he wrote.
According to him, he was about to pay for Cynthia’s flight ticket to enable her to join him in America, but she sadly died before that could happen.
“The fact that I was about to pay for your flight ticket to come and finish what we started only to hear you went to be the Lord just last night is one of the toughest things I’ve had to deal with in recent times.’’
“I pray I’m able to recover from the shock. Life is really just a mist. One minute you have it, the next you don’t,’’ he said.
“For the more than 20 years that I’ve known you, you’ve been such an amazing, decent, and lovely soul to be around. Words fail me. May your gentle soul rest till we meet again in glory,’’ he added.
