Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the former deputy Information Minister under the John Dramani Mahama administration has indicated that it is very offensive for Bawumia to think of contesting to become the president of Ghana.

Speaking in an interview on Adom TV monitored by 1Family Radio, Felix stated that Bawumia should even be ashamed of himself over his bid to become the president of Ghana because of the current economic mess.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia who was alleged to be the saviour of the country’s economy by the New Patriotic Party is now claiming to be clueless about whatever is happening in the country’s economy.

He furthered that what Ghanaians need right now is someone who will help to restore macroeconomic stability and those who were involved in destroying the economy cannot help us in anyway.

Felix stated that Bawumia cannot be part of the future in terms of solving the current economic issues because he obviously doesn’t have any knowledge on how to solve these problems. “It is offensive to even think that he wants to become the president after mismanaging the economy which was entrusted to his care,” he noted.

The former deputy Information Minister questioned how can Bawumia contest for the presidency after he destroyed the economy and later claimed to be “Simpa Panyin.”
