The National Communications Authority (NCA) has disclosed that the MTN Data Zone offer will be brought back very soon.
This news was confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer of the authority on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
On April 5, 2023, MTN announced the suspension of the Zone Bundle due to a review of the bundle offer in line with the SMP.
“The suspension of the innovative Data Zone bundle is due to a review of the bundle offer in line with the Significant Market Power (SMP) directives applied to the MTN Ghana in June 2020, not to be the lowest priced on any offer in the industry,’’ the statement noted.
However, Mr. Joe Anokye stated that the Zone bundle will be available soon but this time around, with revised charges.
Addressing the press in Accra which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Mr. Anokye said, “MTN has submitted a revised data zone bundle which has been approved by the authority,’’
He continued, ‘’we are hoping that the product will soon be available.’’
