Beverly Aflago, Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur has stated that getting married as a celebrity in this country is very expensive because of the expectations from Ghanaians.
According to her, almost every action of celebrities is judged by Ghanaians especially when it comes to what they wear during their marriage ceremony.
Speaking in an interview monitored by 1Family Radio, the actress noted that celebrities are just like any other human being and they must be allowed to live a simple life like everyone else.
“There is no difference between a celebrity marriage and any other marriage expect that it is more costly because we enjoy the limelight,’’ she said.
She added that because celebrities are in the limelight, there are so many expectations from families and fans which is not supposed to be so.
“Apart from what you wear, the car you drive and the school your children attend, celebrity marriage is just like any other marriage,’’ Beverly stated.
Explaining why she keeps her marriage life from social media, she asserted that there is nothing extraordinary about her marriage life to post out there.
“I mean Ghanaians are aware that we are married, they know that we are together and in love and as a celebrity couple, we are not trying to prove anything to anyone,’’ the actress hinted.
