The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has called on hoteliers moderate their rates during the Kwahu paragliding festival.

During the launch of the 12th National Kwahu Paragliding Festival, the Deputy CEO in-charge of services at the GTA, Mr. Benjamin Anane Nsiah stated that this year’s paragliding festival is set to happen from Monday the 7th of April to Monday the 10th of April.

Speaking to the press on March 2, 2023 which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Mr. Nsiah indicated that there will be tandem pilots to fly patrons from the Odweanoma Mountain to the Nkawkaw stadium at a fee of GH¢ 950.00.

He also called on hoteliers in the area to attract more tourist by charging moderate rates which will also help them grow their business as well. He advised them to charge patrons for five-day packages instead of the standard per day charge.

The deputy CEO urged them to be sensitive and reasonable in their pricing to help the GTA reach their target of attracting from 1 million to 1.3 million tourists in this year’s Kwahu Paragliding Festival.
