Ghanaian broadcast journalist and the Head of Sports for the Despite Media Group, Dan Kweku Yeboah has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to ensure that the captaincy transition from Andre Dede Ayew to Thomas Partey is without chaos.

It has been rumored that Thomas Partey, the deputy captain of the Black Stars will soon succeed Andre Ayew as the captain under the leadership of Chris Hughton.

According to Dan Yeboah, if this speculation is true, then the GFA must ensure that the transition is a peaceful one.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the journalist stated that the captaincy transition of the Black Stars is always marked by chaos and this has led to the retrogression of the team but it is time this comes to an end.

“The only thing I can say is that we need to learn our lessons on how to ensure that we always have a peaceful captaincy transition.’’

He furthered that Andre Ayew, the current captain of the Black Stars will not bear that title forever but he should be allowed to reign now that it is his time.

“This is Dede’s time and he should be given the chance to reign and when it is time for him to leave, the GFA should do an appropriate transition,’’ he noted.

Dan Kweku stated that the captaincy transition of the Black Stars should not always be marked by chaos but we should rather learn how to this in a more better way.
