The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has announced that a committee will be set up by the management of the school to probe the misconduct of a female student in a viral video trending on social media.
A lady who is purported to be a student of the school was captured lashing another female student in a viral video on April 4,2023.
According to reports, the female victim has rumored that the culprit has been having affairs with some of the male lecturers in the school.
The school in a press release stated that an investigation will be conducted to unearth the actual reason behind the assault.
The press release signed by Dr. Koryoe Anim-Wright, the Registrar of the University indicated that their ‘’preliminary investigation has revealed that the culprit is in a special non-tertiary program in the preparation for an external professional examination.’’ It furthered that after the completion of the investigation all persons responsible for this misconduct will face the full rigor of sanctions.
It was noted in the statement that the culprit’s behavior is against the code of conduct of the university.
The press release however stated that the misconduct of the culprit, the school has over 20,000 students who are committed to their studies and follow the university’s code of conduct diligently.
