A six-month-old baby has been found lifeless in a polytank in the Eastern region of Ghana on the 7th of May, 2023.
This sad incident took place at Nkurakan community in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
News reaching us (1Family Radio) is that the child went missing on Saturday, May 6, 2023, after the mother left the baby in the care of her older children to go and fetch water.
After she got back home, her baby was nowhere to be found. Upon inquiries, she was told that an unknown man came to pick the baby.
Frightened and anxious, she called on her neighbors to help her search for the child. All efforts to find the whereabouts of the child proved futile on Saturday.
However, a subsequent search on Sunday, May 7, 2023, found the baby drowned in a polytank of 8ft at a construction site near their residency.
The baby was found dead after a ladder was used to retrieved the body from the tank
The body has been deposited at the morgue by the police but the suspect is yet to be apprehended.
