Samuel Koku Anyidoho, a leading member of the NDC the Chief Executive Officer at the Atta Mills Institute has stated that there is nothing wrong with the decision by some of the party MPs to vote in favor of the new ministerial appointees.
Despite the earlier resolution of the minority to vote against the ministers-designate of the president, all six ministers were approved by the house by an outright majority.
Some of the lawmakers of National Democratic Congress (NDC) including Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Francis-Xavier Sosu and Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini have expressed their disappointment over the outcome of the votes, adding that this is treachery on the part of the NDC MPs.
However, Samuel Koku Anyidoho in a post he shared on his Twitter handle has cautioned the members of the minority to stop their act of hypocrisy. According to him, some of the NPP lawmakers also voted for the current Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin although he was an NDC faithful.
The post sighted by 1Family Radio indicated, ‘’How can the approval of Ministers be considered treachery? Were we not excited when some NPP MPs helped us win the Speakership? He quizzed.
He furthered, “was that also treachery from the NPP? Why do you some people think they have more sense than others?’’
Koku Anyidoho asked the NDC MPs these questions in response to the claims by some party members that the NDC lawmakers who supported the approval of the ministers have committed treason.
