Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana has renovated two health facilities in the West Mamprusi Municipality in the north East Region.
The walewale Government Hospital and Wulugu Health Centre received major remodelling that has created a more favorable environment for healthcare delivery.
These activities were solely financed by the Vice President. This information was given to the Daily Graphic by Issahaku Aremeyaw, the Chief Executive of the West Mamprusi Assembly. Issahaku stated Bawumia is dedicated to better healthcare in the municipal.
Issahaku noted that these facilities have never been be refurbished and they have been afflicted with various problems and were in a shabby state. He further stated that although the health center was the first government health facility in the region, it was left in a very dangerous state.
The health personnel in charge of these facilities appreciated the Vice President and vowed to maintain the facility.
