The founder and general overseer of the Great Fire Pentecostal International, Bishop Dr. Daniel Kissi Bonegas, has cleared the air on his disappearance from the public for about eight years.
According to the bishop, his disappearance from the limelight from 2014 to 2022 was a divine instruction from God for his own safety and protection.
Speaking in an interview with Zion Felix monitored by 1Family Radio, the man of God disclosed that he had to go into hiding because some unknown individuals were planning on assassinating him.
Dr. Bonegas claimed that God appeared to him and told him about His intention to hide him because he hadn’t reached the standard set for him. He added that although he wasn’t happy with the revelation, he had to obey God and go into hiding.
He cited the fact that even Jesus Christ had to go into hiding to safeguard his life and also to grow and become more dynamic and powerful.
“It wasn’t for a bad purpose; it was God who hid us; when you look at Jesus Christ, when he was about twelve years old, he came into the public, and it generated a lot of conversations.’’
“People wanted to get rid of him; therefore, after that, God made him be relocated to a different place. Nothing was heard of him again until he was thirty years old. God was preparing and teaching him, so when He brought him back, he had become powerful and influential, and demons fled when they saw him,’’ he stated.
He continued that God appeared to him in 2014 and told him that he must disappear from the public eye because people have their eyes on him.
“In 2014, I had a visitation from God, who warned me that I would be killed unless he concealed me. To be quite honest, I was not delighted to hear this news, but I had to follow God.’’
“God said He simply came to present me to the nation, so He hasn’t lifted me to the standard yet. He just wanted to see how the nation would receive me. But he has noticed that people have their eyes on me, so if he doesn’t hide me, I will be assassinated,’’ he added.
