Prophet Eliezer Oswald Awuyeh, the leader of Awesome Grace Embassy has warned Christians against giving money to the poor using Christian Atsu’s as an example.
In a video that has gone viral, the pastor indicated that it doesn’t matter how philanthropic you are if you don’t do it in the house of the lord, God’s attention is far from you.
According to the Man of God, Christians were asked to pay their tithe in the church and not to give it to the poor on the street in the name of charity or philanthropy.
The Man of God noted that some Ghanaians have this notion that if they give their tithe to the poor on the street, it is equivalent to paying it in church. “Is that where God asked you to take your tithe?’’ he quizzed.
Pastor Eliezer stressed that the poor cannot save you if you give your money to them and that is why God commanded that people should bring their tithe into the church so that they will be food in his storehouse. He furthered that humanity is not wiser than God.
He added that your benevolence cannot bring you a heavenly reward if you do it outside the house of the lord.
