Former Minister of Trade and Industry and a flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has alleged that the people of the Volta Region will make him president of Ghana.
He asserts that he will lead the NPP to victory in the general elections in 2024, making him the best candidate among all the other candidates for the position of flagbearer.
Addressing some party delegates in the Volta Region, monitored by 1Family Radio, he pledged to continue the wonderful legacy that the late President Jerry John Rawlings started in the Volta Region.
He claimed to have some of the charisma of the late president and hence urged the residents of the Volta Region to support him in order to guarantee that the region receives a fair piece of the national cake.
He said during the campaign, which was held on Monday, July 17, 2023, that “Volta Region is going to make me, Alan, the president.”
“We need to do a few things in order to break the eight, starting with choosing the correct leader. Second, you must have the appropriate message, and third, you must mount a powerful campaign,” he said.
‘’These three factors are what will enable us to get power. He questioned, Who among us is most likely to be elected as the flagbearer of the NPP and take office as president?”
“There is only one person among the contestants who can market to the whole of Ghana. That is Alan Kyerematen,’’ he added.
