According to Peter Mawuli Ekpe, Head of Communications of the Ghana Film Producers Association (FIPAG), sometimes known as Abr, most Ghanaian celebrities who back the National Democratic Congress do so because of financial hardships.
He claimed that everyone who is famous, especially movie stars who have supported the NDC in the past and present, is bankrupt.
He made this assertion when he appeared as a guest on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
The well-known PRO claimed that the NDC didn’t provide anything better to the celebrities who previously supported them and wouldn’t offer anything to those who would support them now.
“In Ghanaian politics, every movie actor, actress, and musician who joined the NDC has run at a loss, and the last person of such a nature is actor Michael Afrane,” he stated.
‘’Look at how late Jewel Ackah got there; Mr. Beautiful is currently selling coconuts and sugarcane on the side of the road; Maame Dokono also voiced a complaint at one time,’’ he said.
