Richard Ahiagbah, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has projected that the party will unquestionably win back the Assin North parliamentary seat.

Following a Supreme Court ruling that Parliament remove James Gyakye Quayson’s name from its records as the representative for the constituency, the Assin North seat was declared vacant by Parliament on May 31, 2023.

As a result, the by-election in the constituency to elect a new MP was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, by the Electoral Commission.

The court case against Gyakye and the by-election that will take place tomorrow have generated a lot of controversy. In the most recent development of the tale, Ahiagbah stated unequivocally that the NPP will win back the Assin North seat in the upcoming election.

In a tweet sighted by 1Family Radio, Ahiagbah noted that the people of Assin North have to realize that their bets with the ruling government have yielded a better result than with the NDC.

“The NPP will recapture the Assin North seat. This is because the voters have found out that their bets with the NPP have yielded better development outcomes. Believe it,’’ he wrote.
