Ghanaian politician and the MP for Builsa South on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Clement Abas Apaak has congratulated Black Sherif on winning the ultimate award at the 2023 Vodafone Music Awards (VGMA).
Black sheriff, emerged as the winner of the 24th edition of the VGMA which took place at the Grand Arena on the 6th of May, 2023.
According to the NDC MP, Black Sherif was able to topple seven other nominees on that category because of his authenticity and simplicity.
He stated that Black Sherif is not just an ordinary musician but he is also a poet and a preacher full of wisdom and knowledge.
In a Twitter post by Dr. Apaak sighted by 1Family Radio, the musician was advised to stay on track and not to lose his authenticity.
The post read; Congrats Blacko. Keep your authenticity and simplicity, don’t try to be like them.’’
“ Never forget your origins. You are a musician, a poet and a preacher. You chant wisdom and reality. The sky is your limit. Looking forward to meeting you. I am a huge fan,’’ he said.
