Ghanaian lawyer and former diplomat to India, Sam Pee Yalley has alleged that President Akuffo-Addo has divided the country along political lines which can be a source of conflict in Ghana.
According to him, the president is a major threat to the peace and security of the country because of his recklessness.
Speaking in an interview on TV XYZ monitored by 1Family Radio, the former ambassador accused the president of implementing policies that do not serve the interest of the entire country but only a few people.
“The main threat to our security is President Akuffo-Addo. The real threat to our very existence as a nation is our dear president. What do you expect when you have a leader who says “us and them”? The president constantly divides us into NPP and NDC,’’ he said.
Sam continued; “this is a major source of conflict which we must avoid as a country. The president always implements policies that do not seek the collective response of the country. They do as they please irrespective of the repercussions.’’
“They can deploy military men to go and kill innocent Ghanaians who are voting and the last time I checked, voting is one of the pillars of democracy,’’ he stated.
The lawyer furthered that the president doesn’t really think about the country because if does, he wouldn’t implement certain policies that will affect employment in this country.
“The NPP government has implemented very reckless policies and programs and this is why I think he a major menace to the peace and security of the country. This government was able to implement a program which says that he shouldn’t employ any young person for the period of the program.’’
“Now your son has completed Legon and he has been in the house for three years. His sister has also finished UCC and she is also in the house. Then your third child is about to complete TECH, and he will come and join the other two graduates in the house, is this not frustrating?’’ he quizzed.
Sam Pee therefore called on the president to reconsider some of his policies and desist from creating that “us and them” mentality in the country.
