David Obiri Yeboah, a former NPP Constituency Youth Organizer of Dome Kwabenya has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will surely win the 2024 general elections if Mahama emerges as the flagbearer of the largest opposition party in the country.
According to him, God wants to bring Mahama back as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in order for the NPP to win the general elections.
Speaking in an interview on Movement TV monitored by 1Family Radio, David stated that the NPP needs to be grateful to God because he is working in their favour by bringing Mahama to contest in the general elections. According to him, among the three flagbearer contenders of the NDC, Mahama is the weakest candidate.
“God is trying to bring Mahama back, and the NPP must thank God for this because Mahama is the weakest link among the three flagbearer candidates,’’ he noted.
He furthered that if the NDC had brought a new candidate, then that will be a problem for the NPP because they wouldn’t know what message he has and what his capable of doing.
“If the NDC had brought a new candidate, we wouldn’t know how to respond to his message because that is his first time contesting. But for the NPP, because we have bringing a new person, we have a lot of things to say,’’ David added.
The politician continued that if Mahama wasn’t able to achieve anything within six years in power, what can he do with only one term.
“Mahama has been a president before, I mean he was a president for six years and what was he able to do? What at all can he do with just one term that he couldn’t within these six years. All he has is a message for the NDC delegates and not for Ghanaians,’’ he said.
