Ghanaian socialite and restaurant owner, Abena Serwaa Frimpong Manso popularly known as Shugatiti has filed a lawsuit against a man of God and two others for defamation.
The actress has sued the pastor for tagging her as a demon and a queen of the sea and for this reason, she has possessed any woman who has eaten in her restaurant before.
“She is possessed by a marine spirit and all those who visit her restaurant will end up being possessed. She is a queen in the realms of the spirit. Anyone who has eaten in her restaurant and is a woman has been possessed,’’ Pastor Frank Gogo who is better known as Prophet Ekatso alleged in an interview on Mama Radio GH.
Reacting to this, Shugatiti has dragged the man of God, Msomfo Efia, the host of the show and Mama Radio GH to court to prove the allegations levelled against her.
In a Twitter post by Shugatiti sighted by 1Family Radio, she noted that she is ready to face off with Prophet Ekatso in court in order prove her innocence.
The defamation suit which was shared by Shugatiti was captioned, “members of Frank Gogo (Ekatso) church inform your pastor to meet in court to prove that I’m a demon of the sea with an evidence of entering the sea.’’
According to the court document shared by the actress, the pastor questioned her character, made statements that have the tendency of collapsing her restaurant business and he also alleged that she acquires her wealth through dubious means and added that she is a threat to other women.
Based on this, she is demanding for general damages for defamation of character, aggravated damages in regards to humiliation and ridiculed suffered by the statement.
Shugatiti who is the plaintiff further requested for compensatory damages her restaurant incurred because of the allegations.
She is also seeking for exemplary damages against the pastor from indulging in similar acts in the future.
