Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, a legal practitioner and aide to ex-president John Dramani Mahama has stated that nothing good will not come out of the IMF deal even if the country is able to secure it because of the recklessness of the Akuffo-Addo led government.

He wonders why the vice president who also doubles as the head of the economic team is mute on issues pertaining to the current economic mess of the country.

According to him all the mess the country is currently facing can be attributed to the reckless spending of the government.

Speaking in an interview on TV3 monitored by 1Famiky Radio, the lawyer stated that should the government secure the $3 billion deal from the IMF, Ghanaians will not benefit from it because of the conduct of the government.

“If the managers of our economy continue with their reckless attitude of spending and do not cut down on the size of the government, nothing good will come out of the IMF deal,’’ he noted.

He quizzed why the self-acclaimed messiah of Ghana’s economy is no longer giving lectures like he did on the economy when they were in opposition.

According to him, he doesn’t understand why Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has chosen to remain silent on the current state of the economic despite being the head of the country’s economic management team.

“Why has Dr. Bawumia chosen to keep quiet? Why is the messiah of our economy no longer talking? Why is he no longer giving his lectures on the economy?’’ he quizzed.
