It has been disclosed that one of the reasons the youth of this country are unable to build a family of their own is because unemployment.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, the lawmaker for Assin Central and also a Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), his main objective will be to empower the youth of this country should he assume power in the 2023 presidential elections.
He made this statement in Ajumako Enyan Essiam in the Central Region during one of campaign tours which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
In his submission, he likened himself to King David in the Bible. According to him, although David was deemed worthless in his family, he was able to defeat Goliath and that is the same manner in which he will defeat his other contenders.
He furthered that the level of unemployment in the country is very disturbing considering the number of universities graduates depending on their parents.
“Unemployment is one of the major problems the youth of this country face. We have so many unemployed graduates in Ghana.’’
“Because some of the youth are not employed, they have no girlfriends which is very terrible. It is expected that after you graduate from the university, you should get a job, save money, get married and then build a family of your own,’’ he noted.
“However, this is not the case because we still have university graduates depending on their parents.’’
He therefore urged the general public to vote him because he is the only person who can rescue the youth from this misery.
“I need your votes to be able to brighten up the future of our youths. I will shape their future by creating more jobs,’’ Kennedy added.
