Mr. Baah Acheamfour, the Ashanti Regional Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that the military camouflage the executives wore during the visit of Former President John Mahama was just a coincidence.

According to him, the attires were just replica materials they bought from the Kejetia Market and it has nothing to do with impersonation.

Speaking in an interview with Umara Sanda on Citi FM monitored by 1Family Radio, Mr. Baah explained that the invitation of the executives by the police over the camouflage was an attempt by the police to frighten them.

“This is an ordinary material we bought from the Kejetia Market and not a military camouflage,’’ he disclosed.

He indicated that he wasn’t aware that the other executives were planning on wearing the same fabric.

Mr. Acheamfour continued, “I had no clue that the other executives were going to wear their camouflage fabrics and what we did was not an issue of national security because some police officers were around.’’

He added that no one can prohibit them from putting on their camouflage replicas. “What we wore was totally different from the Ghana military uniforms. No one can order us not to wear our fabrics unless by a competent court,’’ he stated.
