According to the Energy Security, the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will experience a huge decline the third time in this year as the prices of fuel is expected to fall between 2% and 9% from 1st April, 2023.

The Energy Security accredited the fall to the stability of the Ghana Cedi to the dollar and the reduction in prices of manufactured good on the global market.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Business monitored by 1Family Radio, the Executive Director of the Institute for Energy Security, Nana Amoasi VII stated that fuel consumers should anticipate another drop in the prices of fuel in the coming month.

“Fuel consumers should look forward to another drop in prices in the coming month. The approaching fall in price is a reflection of the occurrences on the world fuel market for the last two weeks,’’ he noted.

He furthered that the LPG will drop by 9% whilst petrol and diesel will fall between the ranges of 2 and 5 %, adding that the price of LPG dropped by an amount of $95 per metric ton which is about 15%.

According to him, the price of petrol also dropped by a price of $21 per metric ton and the price of diesel fell by a whopping of $813 per metric ton which is equivalent to 3.6% on the world fuel market in the past two weeks.

He urged Ghanaians to expect some sort of alleviation from the high prices of fuel prices especially households that depend on LPG.
