Government makes payments on outstanding bonds 

The Ministry of Finance thanks all its stakeholder for their cooperation.

The government has made an additional coupon payment on outstanding bonds on March 24, 2023. 

This announcement was made via a statement release issued by the Public Relations Unit at the Ministry of Finance. 

The statement which was sighted by 1Family Radio indicated, ‘’following the press release issued by the Ministry of Finance dated Tuesday 14th March, 2023, Government is pleased to announce that additional coupon payments have been made on Thursday, March 20,2023. 

It furthered, “the payments cover coupons on both the 2-year note that matured on 20th February, 2023, and 20-year note due on 20th February, 2023.’’

“Payments on the principal of the 2-year note maturing on 20th February, 2023; as well as payments on subsequent maturities, will be communicated in due course,’’ the statement noted.

The ministry also expressed his appreciation to the all its stakeholders for their cooperation and support. It stated, “the Ministry of Finance once again takes this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their patience and cooperation, as government continues to work towards the restoration of macro-economic stability.
