Ghanaian gospel musician, Brother Sammy has disclosed his stance with issues pertaining to sports betting and Christianity.
According to him, sports betting is not a sin and there is nothing wrong with participating in it. This statement from the gospel musician has triggered a lot of criticisms from some Christians in the country.
He added that God delights in the prosperity of His people and sports betting is one of the avenues believers can make money.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the musician noted that believers must flourish financially therefore they must venture into sports betting. He added that it is the desire of God to see his children prosper financially and sports betting can help them do this.
Brother Sammy revealed how he staked on Barcelona to defeat Real Madrid in the El Clasico and he won after Madrid loss the match to 2-1.
“I am a supporter of Barcelona and I am also a fan of Asante Kotoko. I placed a bet on Barcelona to win the game against Madrid and after the match I earn some cash because Madrid was beaten in the game,’’ he asserted.
“If Christians want to prosper financially as Jesus wants them to do, then they should engage in sports betting because it is one of the money-making avenues,’’ he advised.
