A Ghanaian journalist and the head of Sports for the Despite Media Group, Dan Kwaku Yeboah has shared his two cents about the absence of some dignitaries of the GFA at the unveiling of Chris Hughton as the new coach of the Black Stars.
Chris Hughton was unveiled as the new coach of the Black Stars on Monday, the 20th of March, 2023 at the SG Mall in Kumasi. Henry Asante Twum, the Head of communications Director of the GFA and Alhaji Grusah were the only officials from the GFA present at the unveiling of Chris Hughton.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM on March 21, 2023, monitored by 1Family Radio, the ace sports journalist indicated that the absence of some notable officials from the GFA including the president of the GFA, Kurt Okraku simply means that Chris was not the choice of the Ghana Football Association.
“Chris Hughton should be very careful because the GFA bigwigs have sent him a signal that he is not their choice,’’ he noted.
“How can you tell me that you are unveiling a new coach and the only bigwigs present is the Communications Director and the FA,’’ he quizzed.
“Chris has been given a signal, he should advice himself,’’ he reiterated.
