Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, a flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party has promised that he will ensure that the Ga state will feature prominently in his government should he assume power in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during a meeting with the Ga Mantse King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II on the 13th of March, 2023, monitored by 1Family Radio, the former Minister of Trade and Industries indicated that the people of Ga origin has supported the party for decades now in terms of human resources.
According to him, all Gas are naturally supporters of the NPP party because the elephant which is the symbol of the NPP party is the same totem for the Ga state and this indicates the spiritual bond between the NPP and the people of the Ga state.
“If God permits me to become the flagbearer of the party and I finally win the general elections, I will ensure that the Gas feature very prominently in the government I run,’’ he promised.
He furthered that the Ga state must be appreciated by the party for their unflinching support towards.
Citing people like Obetsebi Lamptey Jnr, Samuel Odoi-Skyes and Adjiri Blankson who have supported the party in several ways, he emphasized that the role played by the Ga people to bring the party into power must be appreciated.
