Nicolas Bourg, a business entrepreneur and also the group managing partner at Telecel Group has announced that they do not intend to expel the current employees of Vodafone after obtaining seventy percent of the majority shares.

Vodafone Ghana has transferred seventy percent of its majority shares to the Telecel Group. The proposal by Telecel was disapproved last year because they couldn’t reach the required regulators.

Their proposal was however accepted this year after they redrafted their proposal. This caused fear and panic in some employees of Vodafone Ghana. Some of the employees were worried about loosing their jobs in this economic hardship.

Contrary to the worries of some employees of Vodafone, Mr. Nicolas has announced that the new administration has no intentions of expelling any Vodafone staff. He mentioned that Telecel do not operate like that. They intend on keeping every worker of Vodafone and working with them.

This means that although Vodafone Ghana has be taken over by the Telecel Group, every employee of Vodafone will not be fired.
