The husband of the waakye vendor at Oyibi, has bemoaned that his wife has been severely affected by incident that occurred last week.
Speaking on Citi News, the anonymous man stated that the event has really disturbed the wife and he is certain that the business will not recover from this embarrassment.
He mentioned that his wife has no motive to do hurt anyone. He noted that his wife cannot do anything that will hurt the people around her because anytime the wife cooks, the whole family eat some of the food.
The anonymous man stated that his wife, his daughter and one of the sales girls also ate the food on that fateful day. And there is no way the wife would want to hurt her daughter or her family.
He furthered that only one person died contrary to the rumors that five people died. This statement was verified by the Food and Drugs Authority. But over fifty people were admitted at the hospital.
The deceased man happens to be the landlord of the place where the waakye joint was located. Despite the advice to visit the hospital by waakye the vendor, when he complained about the stomach ache, the landlord didn’t adhere to the advice.
He said sent his condolences to the wife of the deceased landlord. But as of now, he doubts that the wife’s business will bounce back.
