The CEO of Bayport Savings and Loans and also a media personality with Peace FM, Akwasi Aboakye, has launched a scathing attack on controversial and loudmouth musician Shatta Wale.
For certain artists, this year has been successful because they are frequently seen on international platforms, either on tour or booked to perform at events.
Commenting on the development, Akwasi Aboakye stated that this year he has seen videos of some artists like King Promise, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif making a global impact on their brands. However, he pointed out that he hasn’t yet seen that of Shatta Wale.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM, monitored by 1Family Radio, the media personality made mockery of Shatta Wale while asking him the reason he hasn’t been performing internationally this year.
“I have seen videos of Black Sherif but not much; I have seen videos of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, King Promise, all these Ghanaian artistes performing outside the country. Interestingly, I haven’t seen Shatta Wale. He has ghosted. Shatta Wale, what is happening? All you know is insults.’’
Reacting to a recent video of Shatta Wale spending some time with his children, Akwasi alleged that Shatta Wale is using the façade of being a family man to hide his inactivity.
“We are performing shows outside the country; where are they?” SM fans, what’s happening? You can do a video and insult me, but I don’t care. I’m asking you, What’s happening? Is it that the shows came but you personally didn’t want to perform or you didn’t get billed at all?’’
“Maybe this time around he has decided to be a family man. But this is not the time to be a family man because we were here when Shatta Michy came out to say that you are not taking care of your child. This is nothing but a guise to cover up for your sluggishness.’’
“If you do a video to insult me, I will also hit back. You don’t have a monopoly over insults. The fact that we decide to be gentle doesn’t mean we can’t insult you back,’’ he stated.
