The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted the headmistress of the West Africa Senior High School (WASS), Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori, for allegedly collecting unauthorized money from students.

This news was announced in a press release issued and signed by the Head of the Public Relations Unit of GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

According to the statement, which 1Family Radio sighted, the headmistress of WASS is anticipated to relinquish the administration of the school to the Regional Director of Education until the Regional Disciplinary Committee has made a final decision on the matter.

“Management of GES has interdicted Dr. Shine Agatha Ofori, Headmistress of West Africa SHS, for unauthorized collection of money from Students,’’ parts of the statement read.

“She is to hand over the administration of the school to the Regional Director of Education pending the final determination of the case by the Regional Disciplinary Committee,’’ GES noted.
