Ghanaian actress and TV presenter Gloria Sarfo has reacted to a statement by her colleague, actress Salma Mumin, concerning her body figure.
On July 12, 2023, Salma Mumin took to social media to respond to some remarks made by internet users about her newly acquired figure. She claims that even though she liked her old physique, she nevertheless went through with a body augmentation procedure since she loved her new one.
She also said that if she becomes uncomfortable with the present surgery, she will have another one. “If I wake up tomorrow and don’t like this one, I will change it, and there is nothing any of you can do about it. Leave me alone, wai,’’ she wrote.
However, appearing as a guest on UTV’s United Showbiz, monitored by 1Family Radio, Gloria Sarfo cautioned Salma against getting another operation and asked her not to let social media push her into making decisions she might later regret.
I am pleading with Salma, my little sister. She said she can even decide the next morning and even go before and do it and add on to it; it’s her business.’’
“But I am pleading that if she has admitted to doing it, then she shouldn’t continue with it because it will be a business to me, Gloria Sarfo. She looks beautiful the way she is,’’ she said.
Gloria mentioned that it might be a technique to promote her business in an effort to defend Salma’s decision to get the surgery.
“She should feel good about herself; she should do whatever makes her happy. We shouldn’t forget she has a clothing line, so maybe she feels she needs to have a certain body type to sell her clothes, which will make it attractive enough for people to patronize her brand. Everyone has a reason for doing something,’’ Gloria added.
