Vice President Dr. Mahamudu has made a mockery of the presidential bid of former President John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Bawumia claims that the NDC is aware that Mahama has no chance of becoming president if he is chosen to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking to some supporters of the NPP over the weekend, which 1Family Radio monitored, Dr. Bawumia stated that he will easily defeat Mahama in the areas regarded as the NDC strongholds.
Additionally, he alleged that certain NPP delegates have started receiving warnings from the NDC not to vote for Bawumia because they are terrified of him.
“Are they not urging you to vote against me? They are aware that their campaign is doomed if the NPP chooses me as its flagbearer,’’ he noted.
“They are aware that their campaign will backfire. They would be in trouble because they are aware that we will break the eight.
“John Mahama cannot compete with me in the north, and the NDC is aware of this. In particular, I will defeat him in the zongos. Even the volta will generate something for us, he assured.
‘’They are advising voters to cast their ballots for someone else instead of Bawumia. Someone wants to choose your striker for you as you compete against them. Is that the way it works? No,” he added.
