The 112th news conference for the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is being held by the Bank of Ghana today, May 22, 2023.
It is anticipated that Dr. Ernest Addison, governor of the Bank of Ghana, will either announce a new policy rate or keep the present 29.5% policy rate for the nation.
This policy rate will have an impact on loan interest rates as well as the lending criteria used by the Bank of Ghana to award loans to commercial banks.
The decision and interventions made, notably with regard to the monetary policy rate, which will affect the cost of credit for the following three months of the year, will then be announced by Dr. Ernest Addison.
