Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National democratic Congress (NDC) has refuted the allegations that the party has been served with another injunction order ahead of the presidential elections on May 13, 2023.

Earlier today, it was reported that the NDC has been served with an injunction order after Dr. Duffuor withdrew his case against the party.

Edgar Asamoah Boateng, a member of the NDC in Abuakwa South allegedly filed a petition to the court to halt the internal elections of the party.

His lawyers reportedly prayed the court for ‘’an order of interlocutory injunction to restrain the Defendants/respondents, its officers or agents or otherwise howsoever from holding the primary elections for the Nomination of Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates of the National Democratic Congress Party on May 13, 2023 pending the determination of the suit herein as per grounds deposed to in the accompanying affidavit and for any further orders the Honorable Court may deem fit.’’

However, Asiedu Nketiah has stated that the NDC is oblivious to this alleged injunction order by Edgar Asamoah.

Speaking at a press monitored by 1Family Radio on May 12, 2023, he stated that the party has not been served with writ by the court.

“We haven’t heard of any recent injunctions; the only thing we heard was that someone in Abuakwa South met with his lawyers after complaining about a problem, Mr. Asiedu Nketia noted.
