Abraham Amaliba, the Director of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has disclosed that the court has set May 15, 2023, for the hearing of the injunction order filed by Dr. Kwabena Duffuor.

Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a flagbearer aspirant of the NDC on May 9, 2023, filed an injunction petition to stop the presidential primaries of the party which is scheduled for the 13th of May, 2023.

Abraham stated that the court has set the hearing date for May 15th, which is two days after the scheduled internal elections.

He added that the party is making efforts to make that the hearing occurs before the internal elections.

Speaking in an interview with Johhnie Hughes on 3FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the lawyer noted that the party was served with the writ including the application for an injunction filed by Dr. Duffuor.

“The hearing date for the injunction case has been slated for May 15, which means it will take place after our primary election day on May 13,’’ he said.

“However, in order to guarantee that this application is considered before the set date, as attorneys, we are attempting to employ the legal procedures at our disposal,’’ Abraham added.
