The former president of Ghana, John Dramani mahama has stated that the current economic challenges Ghanaians are facing is because the ruling government doesn’t heed to advice by Ghanaians.

According to him, admitting one’s mistake is a major step in solving of any problem including the current economic mess. To this effect, he urged the president to own up to his mismanagement of the country’s resources.

He made this statement during his campaign tour to the Awutu Senya in the Central Region where he met with some party delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

“I accepted the faults for the mess in the energy sector despite the fact that I was not responsible for it,’’ he stated during his campaign which was monitored by 1Family Radio.

He furthered, “This government doesn’t listen to advice, it doesn’t accept mistakes and thus its inability to learn from them. The government has refused to accept blame for the depreciation of the cedi.’’

The politician reiterated that he wasn’t responsible for the energy crisis but he admitted the blame and promised to fix it.

“I wasn’t responsible for the energy crisis, I went to parliament and took the blame for it although it was caused by a lack of generational addiction for many decades and I even promised to solve it,’’ he disclosed.

“This is basically what leadership entails but this president has refused to take responsibility for anything,’’ he concluded.
