Parliament is expected to vote on the new ministers appointed by President Akuffo-Addo on Friday, March 24, 2023.

After three hours of extended meeting in the house on Thursday, March 23, 2023, it was concluded that voting will be done on Friday at 10: 00 in the morning.

There were heated arguments from both sides in the house on the report of the Appointment Committee regarding the six newly vetted nominees.

News reaching us (1Family Radio) is that the Minority caucus disclosed that were oblivious to the report by the Appointment Committee and therefore demanded for some time to scrutinize the report.

The six ministerial appointees include KT Hammond as Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, Osei Bonsu Amoah for Minister of State for the Local Government Ministry and Stephen Asamoah Boateng for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam as the Minister at the Ministry of Finance, Brian Acheampong for the Minister of Food and Agriculture and Stephen Amoah as the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry.

Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament rescheduled the voting to today after Parliament resumes sitting.
