Maurice Ampaw, a legal practitioner has bashed Kennedy Agyapong for threatening to reveal secrets that will cripple the NPP party.
Speaking in an interview with Sompa FM over the weekend, Kennedy Agyapong disclosed that there is a conspiracy by the NPP government to collapse his companies because he is contesting for the presidency. He threatened to reveal secrets which will destroy the NPP party.
However, Maurice Ampaw has indicated that the NPP flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy has no right to say that he will collapse the party because the NPP party is a public entity and not his personal property.
“NPP is nobody’s property, Kennedy Agyapong listen to me carefully, NPP is not for you. How dare you? How can you say that you will cripple the NPP party? Don’t let me come directly at you, don’t let me get angry at you,” he cautioned in an interview on Sompa TV monitored by 1Family Radio.
He furthered, “NPP party is a public entity. The NPP is a political party and in law, political parties are public institutions. They are not owned by one person, today I am teaching you the law.’’
“Every Ghanaian has a say in what goes on in both the NDC and the NPP because both parties through their activities win power to govern us and because of this all Ghanaians have interest in the activities of the NPP,’’ he added.
“Go and learn the law because you can’t collapse the NPP party,’’ he noted. He dared Kennedy Agyapong to reveal any secret he has about the NPP. “We are not afraid of you,’’ he added.
Speaking to the supporters of Kennedy, he asserted that Kennedy is a populist and he cannot save anybody.
Lawyer Ampaw cautioned the lawmaker to learn from his other contenders like Bawumia and Kyerematen and desist from the habit accusing and attacking President Nana Addo.
