The Oti Region of Ghana has reported the murder of a woman in her late 60s by unidentified assailants.
According to reports, the woman known as Daa Yaa left her house on Saturday to go to a funeral in Apesokubi. However, she was not seen by her neighbors for two days.
She was later discovered dead in a pit next to her home with her tongue, breasts, and private parts removed, according to information that has reached 1Family Radio.
When the police and a medical team from Worawora Hospital came to the area, they suggested that she be buried because her body was going bad.
There is an investigation going on, but no suspects have been arrested yet.
The incident has left the locals in fright and terror. They have since asked the police to look into the event and apprehend those responsible.
