Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, the lawmaker for Builsa South on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reacted to a claim made by the former Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Samuel Koku Anyidoho.

Samuel Koku Anyidoho, in an interview on Atinka TV, alleged that he was expelled from the presidency less than 48 hours after the demise of former President John Evans Atta-Mills.

According to him, John Mahama sacked him because he couldn’t work with him at the presidency for obvious reasons.

Contrary to these allegations by the CEO of the Atta-Mills institution, Dr. Apaak has disclosed that Koku was offered an ambassadorial position by Mahama, but he rejected it for reasons best known to him.

Clement Apaak made this revelation in a tweet he shared on his Twitter page, sighted by 1Family Radio.

“Also indicate that John Mahama offered you an ambassadorial position and you turned it down,’’ he wrote.

“He allowed you to continue as a presidential staffer assigned to national security.” You served in this capacity till 7/1/2017 and, like the rest of us, took ex-gratia,’’  Apaak added.
