Ghanaian lawyer, politician and current special aide to former President John Dramani Mahama has called on the entire public to treat with contempt the fake report on tribalism attribute to her.
According to her, the account used in spreading this fake report which has been ascribed to her is a clone account.
A post by the alleged clone account noted; “It is always the Ashantis! Always causing problems with their unnecessary egos. This defeatist approach won’t work. John Mahama is NDC and NDC is Mahama.’’
This post was supposedly in reaction to Mr. Duffuor’s injunction case against the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Reacting to this, Joyce has asked the public to ignore this post because its main purpose is to create disaffection towards her and Mahama.
A Facebook post by the politician sighted by 1Family Radio indicated; “As soon as they announced a government initiative to curb the spread of fake news, I knew that this infamous government had discovered a new scam! Clone the accounts of opponents and set them up for attacks or create disaffection.’’
“Hopefully even though I am grateful for the swift manner in which people shared the fake tweet for my personal attention, I wish that people would rather discount, discredit or report the fake tweets instead of sharing same across platforms knowing same to be false, fake and disinformation,’’ she added.
