NDC Primaries: EC not to supervise the presidential primaries of the NDC over injunction case

EC will not supervise the internal elections until after the determination of the matter

Jean Adukwei Mensa, the current chairperson of Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has written to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) informing the party of the inability of the commission to supervise the internal elections.

The presidential and parliamentary primaries of the NDC is slated for May 13, 2023, but prior to that, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a presidential aspirant of the party filed for an injunction order to halt the elections due to some irregularities found in the voters register of the party.

In reaction to this, Jean Mensa has written a letter to the General Secretary of the NDC announcing the decision of the EC not to supervise the internal elections of the party.

The letter which was sighted by 1Family Radio was issued and signed by Jean Mensa on the 10th of May, 2023.
