Hon. Alban Kingsford, the Speaker of Parliament has recalled the house from recess to reconvene on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
According to him, the recall was necessitated by an urgent parliamentary business which needs the immediate consideration.
In a statement which was sighted by 1Family Radio was issued and signed by the speaker on April 20, 2023.
“In exercise of the power conferred on the Speaker by order 42(3) of the Parliament of Ghana, I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament shall notwithstanding anything to the contrary, be recalled from recess to sit on Tuesday, the 2nd day of May 2023, at ten 0’clock in the forenoon, at Parliament House, Accra, to consider urgent Parliamentary business,’’ the statement wrote.
