Saddick Adams, a Ghanaian sports journalist also known as Sports Obama has bashed the youth of Ghana for what he described as a misplaced interest.
According to him, instead of the youth to speak about the pros and cons of the new revenue taxes by the government, they are rather speaking about the appearance of someone’s wife at her traditional marriage.
Speaking in an interview monitored by 1Family Radio, the ace journalist noted that some of the youth are oblivious to the fact that Parliament has passed three new tax bills because they are busy talking about Harold Amenyah’s wife appearance.
“Frankly speaking, the youth of the country are a disappointment. They are not even concerned about the three new bills passed by parliament over the weekend. Instead of protesting about these bills, they are arguing about the beauty of someone’s wife.’’
“Some are unaware that government has introduced new bills. In other countries, people will object and send message to the government. But in this country, we are not speaking about the taxes and their effects on us,’’ he noted.
He furthered that we are don’t deserve any better leadership than what we have because of our characters and responses to matters of national concern.
“We deserve these kinds of governments. The youth will ignore you when you speak about taxes but talk about the appearance of someone’s wife and you will see the responses you will get,’’ he said.
