Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the leadership of the party in parliament to desist from attacking each other.

His statement comes after some MPs of the party were accused of treachery for not voting against the approval of the ministerial nominees of President Akuffo-Addo.

According to him, attacking each other won’t solve any of the challenges of the party. He believes that if care is not taken, the party will disintegrate which might affect their prospect of gaining power in the 2024 general elections.

In a tweet he shared on Twitter page sighted by 1Family Radio, the politician called on the party to solve this problem with dignity and respect.

“It is very obvious that Ghana is in an extremely difficult position, and cutting down on the size of the government will serve in the best interest of the nation. However, I would like to caution against the use of vulgar language towards our lawmakers,’’ he stated.

“while it is alluring to vent out our frustration in this manner, I don’t think this will aid us find solutions to our problems and reach a common ground which will position our noble party for victory in 2024,’’ the politician tweeted.

He continued, “Let us endeavor to handle the issue at hand with dignity and respect. Let us unite in a spirit of solemnity and work towards finding a way out of this difficult circumstance.’’

“A united house always stand tall, but a divided one collapse and fall,’’ he concluded.
