Ghana’s current economic problem can be attributed to the corruption and wastage of resources by the Akuffo-Addo led government, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the NDC has stated.
According to him, the economy was already unstable before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking in an interview on TV3 on March 22,2023, monitored by 1Family Radio, Sammy Gyamfi noted that the ruling government is allergic to the truth.
“Before the outbreak of Covid-19, they were already spending impulsively. The government had nothing to show for his borrowing before Covid the economy was nothing to write home about,’’ he noted.
He furthered that Akuffo-Addo is the biggest scam in the history of Ghana because he promised a lot of things but he hasn’t delivered on any of them.
“The president stated that the country will not seek bailout from the IMF but here we are today. Is this not a scam? They told us that there will no haircut, was this also not a scam? Didn’t they promised to abolish road tolls if Ghanaians accept the e-levy? Was that also not a scam? The government is full of scam,” he noted.
He reiterated that this Akuffo-led government abhors the truth. “The NPP government is allergic to the truth because they are full of lies,’’ Sammy added.
